Arlo McCubbin currently serves as community representative on the NIC Board of Governors. He has had a long career as an accountant during which he has worked with First Nations as a controller, auditor, trainer and trustee for two First Nation settlement trusts. He also owned an accounting practice for 28 years for corporate, non-profit and personal clients. He has been active in his community as the Treasurer for Cumberland Community Schools Society, Victoria Cool Aid Society and the Comox Valley Art Gallery. Arlo was also on the board of the Cumberland & District Credit Union prior to its merger with First Credit Union after which he held the position of Audit Chair. Arlo has worked as a Cuso International volunteer in Vanuatu setting up finance systems for Island Local Councils. He was a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC until he retired in 2018.
