Born in Chilliwack to a hard-working, on-the-move Canadian Armed Forces family, Robert Buckley served seven years with the military before moving on to UVIC and a 10-year career with Scotiabank. Today, he is a proud Comox Valley resident with his three extraordinary daughters, Faith, Abby and Carley and wife Maria. He is currently Branch Manager at Coastal Community Credit Union and a Rotarian for over 16 years. Fairness to all is a paramount ideal in Robert's life and he says that his six years volunteering with the NIC Foundation further fulfills his journey of giving back.
