Danna Chan

Danna Chan was born and raised in Campbell River, BC. After earning her Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in Accounting from the University of Ottawa and obtaining her Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, she returned to her hometown, believing Vancouver Island is the best place to live and build a career.

Danna is a Partner at Chan Nowosad Boates, where she practices in accounting, tax, assurance, and audit, serving clients across a broad range of industries, including small- and medium-sized businesses, non-profit organizations, and municipalities.

She has a strong passion for education, training, and mentorship, recognizing these as the foundation for both personal and professional growth. Danna leads her firm’s CPA student training program, serves as a mentor and ambassador for CPABC, and is actively involved with CPA Canada’s certification examinations.

In addition, Danna has served on numerous boards and committees for non-profit organizations and the City of Campbell River, bringing extensive experience as a director, treasurer, and committee member. She offers a strong understanding of board governance and collaborative leadership and is excited to contribute to the Foundation in her role.
