Build for the Future
North Island College is more than a beautiful place to learn.
We’re building homes for NIC students and the Student Housing Commons will be a multi-generational, inclusive, accessible, Indigenized, welcoming space for all students.
Located on the Comox Valley campus and situated on the traditional territory of the K’ómoks First Nation, tul’al’txw, student housing is the first of its kind in BC. Two linked buildings, gukwa'las and tl'emstan, feature a unique mix of single-occupant and shared housing units and ʔayɛs kʷ ǰɛǰɛnxʷɛgəs provides dedicated on-campus family housing units.
Your gifts can support priority projects which will serve the next generation of students and families across all of our NIC communities:
- Consider Leaving a legacy for future generations with a bequest designated to support local campus development.
- Visit our NIC Engage site to explore NIC's current projects and provide valuable feedback.
The Dr. Lou Dryden Trades Training Atrium was built in 2011 at NIC's Comox Valley campus giving our North Island residents local access to one of BC's best-equipped training facilities.
