Life can be unpredictable. Urgent and Emergency Funds provide critical financial assistance to students facing unexpected challenges whether they are sudden crises or pressing financial needs that could impact a student's ability to succeed.

With your support, we offer one-time bursaries to help students navigate circumstances that threaten to interrupt their studies or place additional strain on their educational journey.

From unexpected medical expenses and housing instability to the rising costs of daily living or disruptions beyond a student's control, these funds provide timely support when it matters most, allowing learners to focus on their education rather than their financial worries.

In 2024/25, more than 200 students accessed urgent and emergency funding through Student Financial Aid. Every request tells a different story, but they share a common outcome: because of donor support, students were able to continue their studies with greater stability, hope and resilience.
