Hector brings robust financial stewardship and a deep commitment to community development to the North Island College Foundation. As a Finance Project Manager at Broadstreet Properties, he specializes in complex capital structuring and real estate financing. His extensive background in investment analysis and financial modeling includes previous leadership roles as a Senior Real Estate Financial Analyst and a Vice President of Entrepreneurship and Financial Analysis in Mexico.
Armed with multiple advanced degrees—including a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Master of Science (MSc), a Post Degree Diploma in Business Administration, and a degree in Systems Administration—and having taught at the university level in Mexico, Hector possesses a firsthand understanding of the academic journey. This unique perspective as both a lifelong student and an educator fuels his dedication to empowering students and championing educational initiatives.
Having arrived in Canada as an immigrant in 2021, Hector is a dedicated community advocate in the Campbell River region, lending his governance expertise to multiple local organizations. His personal journey deeply informs his service on the board of directors for the Immigrant Welcome Centre, alongside his roles with the NIC Foundation and the Campbell River District Chamber of Commerce.
