Jay Dixon is the Principal of North Island Secondary School in Port McNeill, BC. He is a 2018 finalist for the BC Premier’s Award of Excellence in Education. Jay has more than 15 years of experience in the K-12 education system in Canada and abroad. Jay has exceptional contacts on north Vancouver Island thanks to his role as an elected town councilor since 2015 and much volunteer work throughout Port McNeill. Jay was instrumental in launching NIC’s High School Partnership Initiative at two high schools in Port McNeill and Port Hardy, which led to increases in dual credit programs and enrolment.
