Nicole Deters is a Professional Financial Planner, Licensed Insurance Agent, Senior Insurance Advisor and Estate and Trust Management Specialist with over three decades of diverse finance industry experience in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario. She is a principal of Gilman Deters Private Wealth and founding partner of Harbourfront Wealth Management in Canada.

She was raised in the small Finnish fishing village of Sointula and understands the economic and geographic challenges that young people living on the North Island face when considering furthering their education. Her advocacy endeavors related to females pursuing careers in the finance sector, include mentorship of Wealth Advisory women across Canada, ambassador speaking at educational forums and establishing a named bursary at the Foundation.

In her professional career, her focus has been to work with affluent and high-net-worth client whose complexities warrant integrated, multilayered approaches to risk and wealth management. It is through this estate presentation and trust management process that Nicole has had the opportunity to introduce numerous legacy giving donors to charities such as the NIC Foundation.
