Shane Landreville
Comox Valley Region
"Our island communities can become smarter and better equipped for the challenges of the future by supporting education and developing educational opportunities for everyone."
Shane Landreville practices law as both a solicitor and litigator with a focus on estate, tax, trust, corporate, and commercial law. Shane’s interest in joining the Board stems from his genuine passion for promoting education, access to education and the advancement of education. He is a believer that deeper and more passionate learning can happen when students don’t have to worry about paying tuition, along with the increasing expenses of life, and often, other financial burdens. Shane has been involved in several boards, including Canadian Association of Nordic Ski Instructors (CANSI) where he represented the interests of British Columbia in national governance, including funding allocation, risk management, sponsorship and fundraising, team selection and coach recruitment, among others. He also led a subcommittee of international representatives to the International Ski Association, developing a significant proposal to the International Olympic Committee. Shane’s passion for adventure and outdoor activity led him to Vancouver Island where he enjoys cross country and telemark skiing, back country ski touring, trail running, cycling and hiking.
